Psychometric Entrance Test preparation

The Psychometric Entrance Test changes format from the December 2026 administration: two domains instead of three, five multiple-choice sections instead of eight, and no English domain. Vizo prepares you for that test — with a free diagnostic, practice that follows your own mistakes, and timed sections in Hebrew and Arabic.

What the test contains from December 2026

A writing task, then 5 multiple-choice sections: 2 Verbal, 2 Quantitative, and 1 experimental section drawn from one of the two domains. Only the scored sections count; the experimental one is used for equating and quality control, and you are not told which it is.

Structure of the two-domain Psychometric Entrance Test
PartHow manyTime
Writing task130 min in Hebrew, 35 min in other languages
Verbal Reasoning2 scored sectionsabout 20 min each
Quantitative Reasoning2 scored sectionsabout 20 min each
Experimental1 unscored sectionabout 20 min

Each multiple-choice question has 4 alternatives and one best answer. NITE states that the number of questions in a section and the time allotted may differ between versions of the test, so the roughly 20 questions per section used above — and by Vizo’s own timed practice — is a planning figure rather than a published one.

What happened to English

The English domain leaves the Psychometric Entrance Test from the December 2026 administration, and English is assessed instead by AMIRNET — a separate computer-adaptive test taken year-round. English scores already earned remain valid; institutions accept them for at least seven years. Vizo offers AMIRNET practice, including vocabulary, practice questions, available timed sections and listening practice. A full official-style simulation is not currently available.

Which languages, and when

The December 2026 administration is listed in Hebrew and Arabic only. The April and July 2027 administrations restore the wider set of administration languages. Vizo prepares students in Hebrew and Arabic, which are the two languages its question bank is written in — you are never offered a language it cannot actually teach in.

How Vizo prepares you

  • A free diagnostic. A short adaptive set that estimates where you stand in each domain. No payment details.
  • A plan built around your date. You give Vizo the sitting you are aiming at and how much time you actually have; it sizes the work to fit rather than to impress.
  • Practice that follows your mistakes. Every answer updates a per-skill picture, and the next set is drawn from where you are losing points rather than from a fixed order.
  • Timed sections. Composed to the blueprint above, on a clock the server holds, with nothing revealed until you finish. Full simulations are coming later.
  • Mistake analysis. Wrong answers are classified — a trap, a calculation slip, reading too quickly — and come back for review on a spacing schedule.
  • Ask Vizo, on the question in front of you. During a timed section it is deliberately not allowed to know the answer.
  • A writing coach. Your essay is marked on the two dimensions the real raters use.

Every question in Vizo is original and written for this product. Vizo does not reproduce NITE’s questions, and nothing generated here is an official NITE item.

The parts of the test, in detail

Common questions

What changes in the Psychometric Entrance Test in December 2026?

From the Winter (December) 2026 administration the English domain leaves the test. Three domains become two — Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning — and the eight multiple-choice sections become 5. English is assessed separately by AMIRNET. English scores already earned stay valid.

How long is the two-domain Psychometric test?

A writing task followed by 5 multiple-choice sections. NITE describes the whole sitting as roughly two and a half hours including instructions; the seated working time comes to about 2 hours in Hebrew.

What languages is the December 2026 sitting offered in?

Hebrew and Arabic. The April and July 2027 administrations restore the wider set of administration languages. Vizo prepares students in Hebrew and Arabic.

How is the Psychometric test scored?

Each domain is reported on a 50-150 scale and the general score on 200-800. In the two-domain format Verbal and Quantitative carry equal weight in the general score. The writing task counts for 25% of the Verbal domain score.

Is Vizo Psychometric free to try?

The diagnostic is free and needs no payment details. It is a short adaptive set that estimates where you stand across the domains and produces a study plan built around your sitting date.
