YAEL or YAELNET, if your school did not teach in Hebrew
Applicants whose high school taught in another language need YAEL/YAELNET: below 105 cannot start studies (level ה׳ is 105–115). Eilat campus requires exemption (132+) except engineering year 1 and marine biology.

Up to 12 full-tuition scholarships for new students who start a bachelor's at BGU in 2026-27. Applicants must be first-generation (neither parent has an academic degree) and have completed full military or national service no more than 7 years ago. They must also come from geographic or social periphery communities, with priority to Negev residents. In September 2026 a committee selects among eligible admitted applicants, also weighing financial need. Recipients cannot hold another scholarship. The programme adds personal, group, academic and social support from the Dean of Students.
Register through the programme form and file an online Dean of Students scholarship application, which is a condition of registration. The page currently shows registration as closed.

For the Bedouin population only. The programme brings students into science and technology degrees. Students are admitted with their first year split in two, studying half a course load. It includes personal coordinator meetings, an academic tutor, reinforcement classes, group meetings and workshops. The page lists tuition funding / Dean of Students support services / a living and travel stipend within the programme, without amounts or conditions.
