The psychometric entrance exam (200–800)
Psychometric score of 660 or more.
Standard Bagrut route: Psychometric 660+. A relevant recognized prior degree at 80+ can replace this condition, subject to equivalent foundational math courses.
The program’s own cut-off, from Bagrut and psychometric
Published matching score (ציון התאמה): 705. Vizo shows it and does not compare it, because each institution computes it on its own scale; check yours with the institution’s official calculator. Acceptance 705, rejection 704 for 2026/27 (712 / 711 for 2025/26). Tel Aviv publishes an acceptance cutoff and a rejection cutoff, and states that both move during the registration period and may rise, fall or close.
Bagrut math level and grade
5 units at 80 or more, or 4 units at 88 or more. Lower grades are accepted with a qualifying score on the mathematics classification examination.
Direct math prerequisite: 5 units 80+ or 4 units 88+. Lower specified grades may qualify with a classification exam of 75+; this alternative is not evaluated here.
Psychometric English section or AMIRNET
All applicants must reach at least Advanced 1 (100+ on the psychometric English section or AMIRNET) by the start of the academic year. New immigrants from non-English-speaking countries have until the start of year 2.
YAEL or YAELNET, if your school did not teach in Hebrew
Applicants required to prove Hebrew (not on the exemption list) need YAEL/YAELNET 105+ (level 3). Exemptions follow the university’s list.
First preference and the exact-sciences combined admission cut-off also apply. The current combined cut-off was not available as a verified numeric fact; meeting the two displayed prerequisites does not establish admission.

For new undergraduates whose admission (adaptation) score meets the threshold published for their program. First-year load must be at least 40 credits or an amount stated on the official page. Only for new students who have not studied before and are not studying this year at Tel Aviv University or another higher-education institution, subject to the published exceptions for some earlier academic study. The grant plus other scholarships may not exceed full tuition, and admits to the single-discipline excellence programme are not eligible for double funding.
No separate application is described: eligibility is based on admission data. Applicants with earlier academic study who may fall under the published exceptions send a request with documents through the university's inquiry system.
